I Put Two Cards Out Into The World This Weekend...

I left two of my Raven themed ATC cards (good copies) out in public places this weekend for strangers to find. They are "Fate" and "Unkind." I am very fond of both of these cards, but I hope to get more uplifting images out into the public soon.

Hi! I read your comment on my page! thanks so much for your kind words, I loved your work too! I find it very organic (meaning non geometrical) and that's something I've tried to explore more, break away from my geometric brain filled with architectural organization...
I know i'm new at this found-art thing, but I defenitely learned the no-envelope-next-time lesson! :) I want the person that find the art to be sure it's for them! not to think that if they take it they're stealing it! so what do you do? do you write down your blog address? or the found-art website? I'm still trying to figure out the best way to do this... it's exciting! My husband still thinks I'm crazy...
good luck with all your work! loved your altered books!

Hi Rosa! Thank you for your comments as well. I think you are going to enjoy the found art experience. It frees you up to create and share.

But I do think the people who stumble upon the art we leave behind generally have trouble "claiming" and keeping it.

I put a label on the backs of the cards with my blog address on it. I haven't left many pieces behind. And like I said, I don't think people generally embrace the found art experience, but I will continue to make little art leave behinds, and feel I am doing something positive in promoting art and the process.

Don't worry about your husband--just assure him there could be crazier things you could do!!! And leaving art behind is pretty harmless...

Thank you for your positive words and best wishes always!
